Die Bahn hat Verspätung, der Bus fährt auch nicht und auf das ewige Warten habt ihr keine Lust mehr? Habt ihr stattdessen schon einmal Nextbike ausprobiert? Nextbike bzw. Metropolradruhr stellt Fahrräder zur Verfügung, die ihr euch ganz einfach ausleihen und damit im Ruhrgebiet fahren könnt. Und das Beste? Für Studierende der UDE gibt es Vergünstigungen: Wenn ihr euch in dereren App mit eurer Uni-Mail Adresse registriert, könnt ihr die ersten 45 Minuten kostenlos radeln. Danach fallen alle 30 Minuten 50 Cent Gebühren an, die sich bis zum Tageshöchstsatz von 5 Euro aufaddieren. Außerdem könnt ihr gleich mehrere Fahrräder auf einen Account ausleihen, wenn ihr gern mit euren Freunden gemeinsam fahren mögt.
Das Ausleihen erfolgt ganz einfach über einen QR Code auf dem Fahrrad und ihr könnt die Räder an jeder Station im Ruhrgebiet wieder zurückgeben.

The train is delayed, the bus is not running either and you are tired of waiting forever? Have you tried Nextbike instead?
Nextbike, or Metropolradruhr, provides bicycles that you can easily rent and ride around the Ruhr region. And the best part? There are discounts for UDE students: if you register in their mobile phone app with your university email address, you can cycle for free for the first 45 minutes. After that, there is a charge of 50 cents every 30 minutes up to a maximum of 5 euros per day. You can also rent several bikes on one account if you like to ride with your friends.
Renting is easy using a QR code on the bike and you can return the bikes to any station in the Ruhr region.
